Re: The NEW and IMPROVED Yankee Stadium
by WrightNow5
Couple of things: #1 Where were the $8 beers you speak of? All I could find were $9 bottles and $10 drafts. #2 The Carl's Cheesesteak was fantastic however I thought $10.25 was a bit much. #3 How do the Yankees not get somebody to sing the national anthem for games? The recording is embarrassing. #4 That giant screen in centerfield in incredible. It stretches on for miles. #5 The instantly updated stats on the scoreboard is pretty great. Especially when you get to see an Chen Ming Wang start. It is like watching the Dow Jones ticker. #6 I don't remember the old Yankee Stadium facing out to those apartment complxes. Did they change the direction of the stadium? #7 Gotta take the train to the game. Driving is an absolute joke. 4 train drops you off right at the main gate. #8 Great job on the interior of the stadium. They have the radio broadcast booming, the right amount of flat screens and a wide open area. By far the biggest improvement. Can you ever meet expectations when you build a $1.6 billion stadium...probably not. However it is a much more inviting and enjoyable place to watch a Yankees game...and they can still fit 50,000 plus. Well played.
